Student/Parent/Family/Educator Compact 

As a student, I pledge to: 

• Be respectful by treating people and property with kindness and consideration 
• Be responsible by coming to school ready to learn and doing my best work. 
• Be safe by using materials correctly and staying in my own space with safe hands and feet. 

As parent(s)/guardian(s)/family, I/we pledge to: 

• Show respect for students and school personnel 
• Support my child by attending school functions and activities 
• Make sure my child arrives to school on time 
• Share with the teacher important information and concerns regarding my child 
• Talk with my child about his/her schoolwork and school activities every day 
• Find out how my child is progressing by attending conferences 
• Help my child meet his/her responsibilities as a student 
• Read and support school/district policies and practices as found in the student handbook 

As educators, we pledge to: 

• Show respect for students and families 
• Provide instruction as stated in the South Carolina standards 
• Create and provide an environment where everyone feels safe and can learn 
• Communicate and cooperate with each family to ensure the best education possible for his/her child.
• Supply clear, timely evaluation of student’s progress to students and parents
