Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Visitors,

Welcome to Springfield Middle School!

It is an honor to be the principal of the best middle school in South Carolina! I work with the most amazing and dedicated faculty and students each day.  Our mission at Springfield Middle School is to “cultivate meaningful relationships, embrace diversity, and pursue academic excellence and equity for all students."

Building strong relationships among our school community is our number one priority.  Our hope is that all students have multiple faculty members in whom they feel they can trust and talk with.  We want our students who walk through our doors to feel that Springfield is their home and that our adults truly care about them as the unique individuals they are.  We provide a variety of extracurricular activities so that every student can find something outside of academics to enjoy and can use to form positive relationships with adults and other students.

We are very proud of the diversity at our school.  We enjoy celebrating our differences and appreciate how our differences make us one amazing group of individuals that can accomplish big goals.  We want our staff and students to strive for kindness and acceptance every day.  Learning to be kind to others, although they may be different from us, is key to building positive relationships where everyone feels like they belong.

Our teachers and staff work tirelessly to make sure ALL students reach their highest potential academically.  We believe that all students can achieve at high levels.  If teachers, parents and students work together, all will have the opportunity to be successful at whatever path they choose.

If you have questions, please feel free to call or email.  We want everyone to feel comfortable contacting the school with any comments, suggestions, or questions.

Thank you for helping your children grow into kind, respectful young adults through their middle school years.
